Pete Buttigieg is getting some major star support for his 2020 campaign. Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly throwing a fundraiser for the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, who hopes to become the youngest U.S. president at just 38 years old on inauguration day.

According to Variety, Paltrow and Bradley Whitford, star of West Wing, will co-host the event in Los Angeles on May 9, with tickets starting at $250 per person.

Details on the location haven’t been released, but in 2014 Paltrow hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama at her home. “You’re so handsome that I can’t speak properly,” she reportedly said of Obama at the event, where she described herself as one of his “biggest fans, if not the biggest,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It’ll be a long day of campaigning for Buttigieg, who committed to several events prior to Paltrow’s fête. According to Variety, Buttigieg has a lunch in Brentwood with co-chairs including Jill Goldman, Vicki Kennedy, Lauren Taschen, and Wendy Riva.

Then, Claire Goldsmith, an education administrator, and her husband Brian Goldsmith, an investor, will host an event with tickets running at $250 per person for those under the age of 37 (as Variety points out, this is Buttigieg’s age). Those who “write checks for $2,800 or raise that amount can get a picture with the candidate, and those who contribute $1,000 will receive a signed book,” the outlet reports.

Buttigieg will also reportedly be holding a reception at West Hollywood gay club The Abbey.

According to The Hill, Buttigieg has garnered the support from several other Hollywood celebrities. Mandy Moore, Ryan Reynolds, and Jane Lynch are among the stars who have donated to his campaign.
